The USMC KC-130J s arrived and departed at night and parked on Ramp A(the revetments) and were partially obscured by trees from Sukhumvit Road. These Super Hercules' were en route from Afghanistan to MCAS Maramar,CA.Hitherto, all VMGR-352 transits have been through Europe.Other than the KC-130J from VMGR-152 'Sumos',This sub-type is extremely rare in Thailand.
From the 12 KC-130J of VMGR-352,most have been recently accounted for, leaving only a few candidates for the missing airplane,
165735 MCAS Miramar 21 Oct
165736 MCAS Miramar 21 Oct
165739 MCAS Miramar 21 Oct
166512 MCAS Miramar 21 Oct

167111 RAF Lyneham en route to Miramar 23 Oct
167924
167984
167985 at U-Tapao with the missing airplane.
From the above, the candidates are(in theory) 166762,167924 or 167984.Further research indicates 167924 as being the most likely candidate for the missing airplane.* It was confirmed in late December 2010 that 167924 was the missing airplane.

Predictably, there was further activity late into the night here.By daybreak on the following day,2 of the Dover airplanes had dissappeared and a Charleston airplane had appeared.Haze prevented reading these off over the fence today,so it is hoped these airplanes will be checked tomorrow, when they are likely to depart. One of the Dover airplanes is likely to have departed to Osan last night.
