Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Ehm, we do appreciate the effort. But close to 100! photos of one museum, nearly all wide-angle, is probably a bit overdone. In my opinion, a smaller selection of the best photos would better keep the attention of the viewer. You can always add a link to the complete collection.
Having said this, thanks for you time showing us all these photos.

It still has my attention... This is the 2nd time this month a moderator is complaining about to many pics.

If nobody is going post pics anymore, Scramble is finished. So keep them coming. Do something about those 1 picture topics....

I was gone for the first time at Hermeskeil and I was enjoyed this Museum. If, for any people, it is great to see all aircraft preserved in, I think it is great for us to discover it. If, for any people, it is not interesting to see always the same angle or anything, I send elsewhere and I put a link and the topic is not a great topic. It is not a problem for me and it is as the forum community want.

Aircraft I have not seen during my visit :

379 CM170 French Air Force
MT-43 CM170 Belgium Air Force parts
93+03 CM170 German Air Force
XN354 Skeeter AOP.12 Royal Air Force

Hope to see them next time :|

Hi Shunn,

In my experience, the number of photos in this topic is very high for the average viewer, hence the suggestion. We certainly don't want to close it and I do leave the choice to you. A complete photo report is valuable, it's just very long from a photographic point of view.

Cohaba, it seems you changed course from photog bashing to nagging about our policies. At least try to be realistic, there is a huge gap between no photos at all and a hundred in one topic.
End of public discussion.

Erik

Thanks a lot ehusmann ;)

As you, I explain just I find good. If Admin or Moderator won't like too many pics in a same topic, it is also the forum rules and I can't make anything ;)
I don't like write report because it is so long and a report is not a pic and you can knom how his the plane with just a message ;)

Thanks a lot for all people who have seen my pics and who have loved them ;)

As Key, public discussion is finished for me :)

Dear Shunn31!

Your fifth post, where is a MiG-23 - East German Air Force - 698, is not a MiG-23, it's a MiG-27!

I don't think so....My guess would be that it's a Mig-23BN Flogger-H.

MiG.23BN, definately.
Look at the big splitter plate in front of the intake, dead give-away. The MiG.27 had a simpler intake with a short splitter plate without perforations.
Besides, the East Germans never had MiG.27s, nor did any of the Warsaw Pact partners.
Otherwise, thanks for the big report! I visited this place in 1988 and should go back some time.

Hans.
