WARSAW, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- The third out of five C-130E Hercules transport aircraft landed in Powidz, western Poland, on Tuesday, Air Forces sources said on Wednesday.

In two to three weeks time, after concluding necessary procedures, the plane will be ready for service in the Polish Air Force.

The plane, produced in 1970 and overhauled in the U.S., was received by Poland within U.S. government's non-returnable military aid.

The next two Hercules planes are expected to reach Poland in June and December next year.

The C-130 aircraft are Poland's biggest transport planes. Polish crews used the planes to fly to Spain, Georgia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
