Minneapolis/St.Paul (KMSP/MSP)- CIV 2010

Post by T7 »

During a businesstrip recently, I was able to do some spotting at MSP. Prior to my arrival I had emailed MSP Airport Police for letting me spot (hassle free) from the 6th floor of the Lindbergh carpark. That was no problem and if you give them the dates/times you are at the carpark, they will put you on the list. On 18/19/20th May I did some spotting from the hotelroom where I stayed (Hilton MSP Airport) in the early morning or late afternoon/evening. Friday 21st May I was at the carpark between 1030-1700lt. During this, I was checked twice by a police officer but after hearing my name it was ok and they wished me a pleasant stay.

MSP is dominantly used by Delta Airlines, although several Northwest aircraft can still be seen. All the DC-9-30's are in NW-colors and still flying! All A319/A320's seen were in DL-colors.
Quite busy during the day with constant arrivals on the two parallel runways. Between 1300-1400 it was a little bit quiet with a few arrivals.

Here is an overview of the aircraft seen in these days (18-21 May) with their resp. colors.

Thanks Ab, I am always interested in the total picture of what can be seen in a day. That is why I was a bit surprised with only the DL/NW.
