By nightfall on the 26th,nearly the full compliment of CVW-5(with the exception of VFA-195 with their F/A-18C) has deployed on to the USS George Washington (CVN-73) for what has been described in the media as a "3 day live firing exercise" off the coast of Korea.

The full list of deployed airplanes will appear here in due course.

With the North Korean madman' Dear Leader' mouthing off further threats,the coming days could prove to be eventful.

All of the F/A-18F of VFA-102 have embarked.
11 out of 13 VFA-27 F/A-18E have embarked,the missing ones are 165861 NF-201 anf 165864 NF-204.
All 11 VFA-115 F/A-18E have emberked.
4 from 5 EA-6B from VAQ-136 have emberked,the missing one 163034 NF-501.
All 4 Hawkeyes from VAW-115 have emberked.
The following Seahawk codes have embarked,NF-610,611,612,614,615,616,620,621 and 623.All from HS-14.From HSL-51 the following SH-60Bs have embarked on on the George Washington or another ship in the group,TA-705,714,715,716.
Both C-2A,162150 NF-20 and 162176 NF-21 are also on the cruise.

166892 is still NF-114.

There should have been no changes in the CVW-5 F/A-18 fleet since the deliveries late last year.However,it looks like VFA-195's jets will soon be returning stateside.

Breaking news from here today(30th November) is the departure of the first 5 ex VFA-195 F/A-18C at 16.38 (07.38Z) to NAS Lemoore,CA(KNLC),

From Japanese language reports on http://www.gonavy.jp (if I have read them correctly),the F/A-18Cs here are due to be replaced by F/A-18E,making CVW-5 a all Super Hornet wing,which will be unique.VAQ-136 are due to be replaced by EA-18G from VAQ-141.
