Firetruck collides with F-16, 31-12-2010

What a way to end a working year...

according to news-website nu.nl ( http://www.nu.nl/binnenland/2414964/bra ... -f-16.html ) a firetruck collided with an F-16 that was being towed at EHLW on Friday, December 31. Apparently, damage was such that the nosewheel collapsed and the Viper ended on its nose. It had to be moved by crane. Any info on the subject of this unfortunate mishap?

Small update: based on photographic evidence on milspotters the correct version of this news would be that a van belonging to the firebrigade (so: NOT a firetruck) collided with the towtruck towing the F-16 (so: did NOT collide with the F-16). As a result of the collision, the towbar pushed the nosewheel of the F-16 backwards and upwards. It appears that the nose of the Viper did not meet the ground, but might have met the towbar. Odds are that with a bit of luck structural damage (if any) will be confined to the area surrounding the nosewheel and wheelbay.

Ik begrijp dat ie alweer op drie wieltjes staat en voortgeduwd ipv getrokken kan worden...
