This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Your processing has absolutely improved, but in this case it’s harder to get the right results. You have made the subjects too "light” (read=wanting to get a normal looking exposure because the sun is missing on the viewing side of the plane) resulting in exploding the highlight (sunlit) areas and in this case removing contrast.
I think the first picture is the best one, showing the "shadow” side and the opposite side almost in balance. And still having some contrast, 2nd is losing contrast and blacks (it is looking sharp though)
the rest I do not like, unsharp (3 and 5) and for reasons stated above. Although the Russian has potential. Make adjustments in little increments (Do it with small steps at a time...)
Progress is absolutely in your hands Douwe, try and improve some more and your almost there.. Stop bringing yourself down, just ask for tips or comments and people will give it to you, i know i soaked up all tips i got in the past! And still do
@Menno Lessons not so much, i just told him what to read and where to find it Douwe just followed tips...
tnkx very much...boele wrote:DvdZee: Good to see progress.
