Nice Thom! Were you shooting those first few pics at the kaagbaan? Was there with 757flyer (Olmo Müller) only then on the viaduct. Haven't seen any spotters near the fence! But I did see some on the other side from were you took them... (south side of 06)

My captures will follow later!

Went to the Kaagbaan in the morning to check my dad's plane in the landing. The weather was very bad for photographing (and for other things as well).

Then proceeded for an hour or so to the Polderbaan. The weather was a bit better. I did some experimenting, but I'm not really satisfied with the results, but would like the share them anyway.

I was standing just north of the (small) Kruisweg, close to the canal, my car was parked in the Aalsmeerderweg. No idea if that's the location you mean. ;)

Douwe

Douwe,

You should go to a sport, camping or mountaineering shop like De Bever Zwerfsport, InterSport or Fjällraven and ask for "klapwanten" (sorry, don't know the English word) you can flip a part of those "wanten" and take you're picture and flip them back when you are waiting for the next plane. Look if the "wanten" have Thinsulate(R) for keeping your fingers warm

Those "klapwanten" where more than OK when I did soms military spotting in Luleå, Sweden (March 2010).

Alright I see, my bad!
Sure I'd like to meet you as well one day! I'll give you a PM when I have plans to go to SPL! :)

So, the 30th I went with Olmo Müller (757flyer)! Moved along by train and by bus.

My captures.. Really NOT satisfied at all. I went to the viaduct with the great hope that the weather would clear up. But no.. And I certainly don't have a bad weather lens..
The best of the Viaduct from me....

Hey,

I went to schiphol with Kevin Leow yesterday, we had a great day although the weather was pretty cold. During our spot at the 'kaagbaan' we also met js51672. After the 06 closed for landing we went on our bicycles to the 'Polderbaan.' We've seen quiet a lot spotters around there, and some with huge lenses, so... I was a little envious althought i'm glad with my own equipment. Even it was cold, the weather conditions were pretty defiant. Here are my pictures :

I think pictures #1 and 2 are taken from the "Geniedijk" which is to my knowledge only accessible by bike or walking..
