Hello everybody!
thanks for all the replies to my first topic. Here is the rest of the 1996 pictures.
The summer holiday was spent in Hungary. Somewhere near Tatabanya I encountered this An-2:
Ofcourse, I managed to get my father to go to Budapest, which had a two terraces. Very nice was this Jetstar:
Hunting Cargo Electra:
Due to the war in Yugoslavia military traffic was quite common, like this USAF Gulfstream:
TNT didn't had the smashing colors as it has now. Als note the IL-18 and IL-76 on the background:
Also very nice and a regular for BUD was this Syrianair Tu134:
Budapest also has a general aviation field, Budaörs, which could be easily accessed, by just waving to the guard and walk on the field. Some pictures:
After a nice holiday and before school started, I had plenty of time to visit Schiphol. Some nice ones at East:
Istanbul Airlines also operated two Boeing 757's:
British Airways used BAC1-11's:
Other classics... JAT DC-9:
And another nice SP:
Air Malta leased this B737-200 from Air New Zealand, hence the exotic registration:
August 17th was one of the best days I ever had at Schiphol. Without the internet, you still had the thrill of the unknown. The day started with Air Alfa:
Not a regular, but a nice surprise was a Northwest B747-400:
The JAT DC-10 was a frequent visitor and used by another airline, but I can't remember which one anymore. It wasn't on the JAT-flight to Belgrade:
Than a big surprise, a private SP:
EVA Air flew cargo with the MD-11F:
And the Electra's of Fred Olsen were really frequent visitors and quite boring, but now they aren't anymore!:
DAS Air was still around and just changed from B707's to DC-10's:
Air Malta also used RJ's:
KLM still had those good looking A310's:
Just like the first topic just because they are so nice, an Aeroflot Tu154:
The day ended with a visit to the DDA, where there DC-3 and DC-4 could be photographed. The DC-3 crashed a month later...
Martinair leased a B767 to Virgin:
Just a nice BAC of AB Airlines rolling out on the Kaagbaan:
Uzbekistan still flew to Schiphol from Tashkent with the A310:
SAA flew cargo flights with Jumbo's, but they also used this A300F:
Air UK also had some F27 still in use:
Yeah! A DC-8F of Affretair, also another boring regular:
Gemini was a new airline, so a nice visitor at East:
And I end my 1996 tour with this sleek looking S-76 of KLM ERA Helicopters:
All in all a nice year (with ofcourse some more pictures taken) and I hoped you enjoyed the show. If I have some more time, I will start with scanning my 1997 pictures. Hope to see you all later!
:cheers!:
