Many thanks for your additions and correction!

I made a typo: the unit of 165194 is VMFA-232 and not 323 of course.

Behind the hangar near the static was a group of eleven MH-60S of HSC-3. Didn't have time to read them on friday, and by the time I returned on saturday access to the little compound was politely denied.....

Any help with the xxxx's much appreciated, I assume these were all coded 'SA'.

165745/SA-00
166292/SA-xx
166307/SA-xx
166309/SA-18
166340/SA-xx
166369/SA-17
166769/SA-xx
xxxxxx/SA-03
xxxxxx/SA-06
xxxxxx/SA-xx
xxxxxx/SA-xx

Also seen flying around on friday was a NADEP F/A-18C carrying code RB-90; serial anyone?

And two longshots: later friday afternoon, while at dog beach, an MH-60R with modex 704 was seen flying around, as well as an SH-60B from HSL-45 with modex 53. Anybody identify these?

SH-60's were very tightly packed so even stood next to them ,couldn't read them all;
166309 26
165745 10
166369
165769
166340
166292
166307
? 04
? 22
? 15
? 17

Sorry can't help with the F-18, I was too busy trying to just record the serials let all the mod programme production numbers. I do however have a list of the 48 on the far side if you didn't get over there ?

165745 was the only one with a folded tail readable from the left side, because it is the CAG-bird with non-standard serial location so marked 00 for sure.

As you can see in this picture: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v20/j ... C_0336.jpg , 166309 is coded SA-18 and not 26 as you state above.

Any help with the F/A-18s and helicopters on the far side would be greatly appreciated!

One of the NAD hangars contained H-60s 165113/3 and 165776 plus many more.
Another contained H-60s 161556, 166315, 166332 and 166526 plus others.

The HSL-49 hangar contained SH-60B 163907/? and MH-60Rs 166529/TS-403, 166523/TS-424, 166581/TS-?? and 166539/TS-??. There were others in the next section.

The ships were off limits to us Brit's so the USS Peleliu proved to be something of a challenge.
UH-1s 167990/SM-04 & 159775/SM-?
AH-1s 168049/VT-?? plus one more
CH-53E 164365/YK-1?

There were also two H-60s filming the flypast one of which was modex 420. Any offers please?

Thanks

I managed to get onboard both carriers after five attempts Saturday.

USS Stennis had:
EA-6B 163048/NG-501 VAQ-135
E-2C 165825/NG-603 VAW-112
F/A-18E 166427/NG-210 VFA-14
MH-60R 166567/NG-700, 166568/NG-701,
166569/NG-702, 166570/NG-703 HSM-71
MH-60S 167854/NG-5, 167859/NG-6, 167865/NG-x,
167869/NG-0, 167871/NG-1 HCS-8

Still looking for the code of 167865. There was also an unmarked Legacy Hornet below deck.

USS Peleliu:
AH-1W 163949/SE-01 HMLA-469
AH-1Z 168049/VT-44 HMLA-367
UH-1N 159775/SE-27 HMLA-469
UH-1Y 167990/SM-04 HMLA-369
CH-53E 164365/YN HMH-361

The CH-53 is a bit tricky since the modex on the tail had been overpainted/modified. I *think* it should be YN which makes it HMH-361, but am not going to bet my life on it!

USS Pinckney:
MH-60R 166574/NG-707 HSM-71

I only read the Bu.No and modex 07, somebody here can confirm it is NG-707?

MH-60R 166553/TS-420 was seen flying around on the thursday before the show. Don't know if it's the same bird though!

I can't find a record for both 167279 and 167877, so the guard might have made a mistake.

One was 166567/NG-700, will have to see if I photographed the other one.

On Saturday I read MH-60Rs 167854/NG-5 and 166567/NG-700 on the deck of the Stennis. There were four more visible below from the dockside, NG-1, NG-701, NG-702 and NG-703.

I'm told that the flying E-6B was 164409.

167279 should be be 167879 as the guards writing could dubius

on our photos from the dockside of stennic we can count 6 SH-60 in the hangar:
4 by the front elevator (with 03)

by the center elevator
1 in front of the hawk eye
1 the the right with rotor folded out

Do any one have photos from the hangar ?

regards Peter
