We will continue the saga on the coldwar USAFE with some "Desert ready" aardvarcks which took off from Lakenheath heading to Saudi Arabia.
A 48th Tactical Fighter Wing F-111F aircraft stands outside its hangar prior to deploying to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Shield.
A 48th Tactical Fighter Wing F-111F aircraft dubbed the "Miss Liberty" taxis from its hangar as it prepares for deployment to Saudi Arabia to take part in Operation Desert Shield. The aircraft is armed with a Paveway laser-guided bomb on the outside pylon and a GBU-15 modular glide bomb on the inside pylon.
