Swedish Sea Knights retired

Post by Lifeliner 3 »

My knowledge of Swedish is not very good, but Google translate helps a lot!

It seems that on March 1st, the Hkp.4 (H-46 Sea Knight for everybody outside Sweden) has made its final flight in Swedish military service. Aircraft Y70 flew from Ronneby to the Aeroseum in Gothenburg. Plans are to keep it in flying condition (it has some 100 flying hours until next maintenance is due).
Helikopter 4 #72 is already at the Aeroseum, but afaik that's not in flying condition.

Too bad that the Aeroseum's airshow for 2011 has been cancelled ! :(
