My Winterholidays including AMS-GVA and Courchevel.

Post by 757Flyer »

Hello All!

Last week I was on winter-holiday in Les Trois Vallées, France.
Due to some tests at school I had to take the plane on my way to there,
which I really didn't mind  .
I flew to Geneva with EasyJet, and then went on by car.
So I'll just kick off with some shots taken from the panorama terrrace!

Well, enough panorama terrace, now into the plane  !
#4. It was already dark when we departed Schiphol, tried to make some shots though, but this was the only one I found worth posting.

#5. Thanks to the very nice crew :D!

Enjoyed some nice skiing in what they claim to be the world's largest ski area!
But ofcourse found some time to go to this lovely airport, some shots of Courchevel!
#6. Overview.

#7. He has to give extra power to climb the runway

Fantastic shots you have man!

I love the helicopters with the mountains behind! In my opinion numbers 11 and 13 are real winners!!
And all of the others are hot shots as well. Really awesome!
I envy you! big time!! haha!

Kind regards, Jeffrey.

The Emirates photo is oversharpened and suffers from too much noise reduction (looks like it anyway), but a seriously nice photo report otherwise Olmo. LOVE the shot from the top of the mountain, looking down on the airport and the runway+plane photos are cool too.

Was it far/costly to rent a car from/to Geneva? (I assume you rented?)

I stayed in Saint Martin de Belleville, which is a small village two valleys away from Courchevel. This was not quite cheap,
but there are really a lot of hotels/apartments in the area, so enough choices of different prices.
And I didn't go to Courchevel by car actually, went there by ski! There is a parking lot and a road to the town of Courchevel,
don't know though how easy it is to reach that parking lot, but I think not too hard.
