All,

Due to an holiday I am currently unable to update this overview. I will make a final update of thie NTM2011 when returne.

Yesterday May 16, the following movements accoured:
Dep: German EF2000, 3x EF-18A, 2x Mirage F.1M, 2x Polish F-16, all the airshow particicpants (PDF, Rafale, Transall).

Still on the platform is the Belgium F-16 FA-87. An Polish Hercules (1502) brought an additional engine, probably for F-16D 4082 which wasnt noted all day long. Slovak MiG's didn''t fly yesterday. Other arrival support aircraft monday were T-729 (arr and dep) and C295 T.21-01 (arr and dep).

See ya all in a few weeks!!!

Be careful about 4082. I spent a lot of time looking for this (sadly unsuccessfully). It was apparently in the hangar at East end of the line. I met some spotters who were certain they had seen it until I pointed out that it had 236 on the nose, twin fins & a Swiss flag on the tail so was in fact J-5236 which spent some time under maintenance in the hangar (bright green, not as dull green as the others) yesterday.

Hi David,

After better looking at my pics you are right, could recognize a code on its nose.......
Anyway thanks for cleaning this up.

Can anyone tell me which Mirage III is stored next to the H-34???

It could only read "Mirage IIIE" on the tail, and a code (or several former codes) on the nose that was too fainted to be made out.

I too have a question: does anyone know which Mirage III or V is dumped upside down in a compound a few hundred meters from the herefore mentioned H-34?
Next to the H-34A was Mirage 3E 471/45-103.
The upside down Mirage 3E should be 496.

Does anyone/everyone agree?

Thanks for your reply. But, I see EMOOS '07 reporting two things:
1. a Mirage 3 is upside down in a compound about 300 meters east to the main gate.
2. 496 Mirage IIIE stored.
This seems to suggest that these two Mirages are not one and the same...

(Maybe the latest edition of EMOOS helps us out, but I don't have that edition yet.)

Hi
A couple of observations from yesterday (16/05)
The Polish F 16D 4082 was in the right hand section of the centre maintenance hangar directly behind the Portugese F 16's. It could be read from the dead end road leading to the NW crashgate.
The maintenance hangar furthest to the west contained F/A 18 (J-5011) in the morning, serial not read but Swiss special scheme, this was replaced in the afternoon by J-5236.
