Show me except for the Turkish planes which aircraft are not confirmed!
Scramble's order of battle says that this are the planes that the TuAF uses. According Eric who has ties to the organisation nearly every AF type will be present.
I thought that it was usefull to give a overview of the so far confirmed participants because the official website isn't online yet.
If you think that some thing should be on or off the list feel free to chance it
For what it's worth, I really appreciated the list. Hopefully more will be confirmed soon, but if it doesn't, no worries either, ticket is already booked anyway.
Looking forward to a spottersday and airshow with the best wheather and aircraft.
First of all I appreciate your effort and I'm really looking forward for this airshow. One thing I'd like to remark is the time when we should be off the base, I think it is a bit too early and being someone living on an Island in the Med at 14:30 in June you'll for sure take all your photo with an overhead sun. Once again I really appreciate your time and effort into this airshow.
Yes, as you say, it gets even better ... food and drink was one of my fear for the spotterdays. About paying, let's hope that the turkish will be reasonable with the price.
Finally, The turkish are going to surprise us by offering the spotterday/airshow of the year.
Let's hope that the islandic volcano is not going to ruin the wonderful week-end.
ok. lets hope indeed that the ash will leave soon out of the atmosphere and we are on GO for the big event, and let's hope the locals and security forces leave us in approach sectors the days before!
In my opinion friday morning there will be a complete caos at the main gate and at the south gate...there will be someone with a printed confirmation and someone without nothing who will have to check on place if he is in or not! And you know...turkish guys doesn't speak english very well...
And what will happen if someone sent his application on time and didn't receive nothing??? I suppose he will not be on the spotter list...and at this point what to do? Walk along the fence to take pictures from outside...
I think there are too much ????? and it seems that nobody from the organisation can provide us some correct and detailed infos regarding the spotterdays on friday and monday.
I really can't understand why is so difficult to provide us with some concrete information...like for example where will be the spotter area to take pictures? What kind of pictures we will be able to take from there?
The jets in Cigli generally land from south to north so I suppose that we will not be able to get taxy shots...just because the main flightlines that will be used for the airshow are in the NE side of the airport (I suppose...with logical consideration).
Then...if they want us to enter on south gate that is on West side of the airport nobody has thought that maybe they want to keep us on the west side of the airfield...in this case we will have the sun exactly in front of our face all day until about 1pm...after the sun will be in a good position but we will have to exit at 2:30pm.
I have been confirmed that there will be no problem to take pics from outside and trust me I am considering that maybe is better to stay outside to take pictures for two reasons:
1-You can choose your position and if you look at google earth the position is perfect with the jets that are really low over there
2-You will not miss anything...I think that move 1000 people in and out it will take sometime with the actual organisation
Please do not misunderstand me...Turkish Air Force is organizing a beautiful event with some rare participants and that's the reason why I will be there but the all organization team looks very poor in my opinion!
Just my opinion and consideration...
I hope that someone maybe has more info than me...because I tried so many times to call the organization that at this time I lost the hope to talk with someone

If you are interested in mine:
Take life easy, show up on time on Friday and let things go as they go. If all goes wrong, it still aint the end of the world.
Why worry about things you cannot change anyway?

Don't worry guys I am happy and I take life easy...I was only expressing my opinion and considerations 9 days prior to the event!
I am happy to go to Turkey, this is not the problem! I will go to Izmir also without spotter
days...
What I was telling is that only 9 days before the event will take place there are not so much info for the
spotters. For me the organisation must respect people that paid money to go to Turkey...and maybe with some more
additional information can make the life easier to everyone who wants to go to the spotter days. That's it!
Well, you know where to go, at what time, your travel options, that there will be food and drinks for sale, when to leave and how to leave. What more information do you want to know?
