Two USN Greyhounds for Marine Nationale

Post by Tintin »

Hi all,

From saturday 28th, USN will offer to Marine Nationale use of two C-2 Greyhounds, for liaisons from BAN Hyères to Charles de Gaulle carrier, actually deployed off Libya for Operation Harmattan. Duration unknown.

Very interesting note Tintin,

I hear from reliable source at ffaa.net that they might be there for 6 months (!) and even a option for buying them if French navy is satisfied with them. Very nice addition to their fleet.

They should be 162143 (coded 44) and 162165 (coded 40) according to a message on MSF. Both were seen transiting through Shannon earlier this month.
