Izmir-Gaziemir (LTBK) - MIL 2011

Post by r.e.hendriks »

Hi guys,

This morning (5 june, 09:00lt) we saw 7x UH-1/AB.205 parked at the ramp and five Cougars inside hangars.
Later that morning the five Cougars were towed outside.

Did anyone perhaps had a visit here??
So all the help with the serials is welcome!!

We also saw a F-104 in the middle of the field, is this 12633 ??

Thanks a lot!!

Best regards Rob.

During departure from Adnan Menderes we saw the following....

1x AH-1
9x AB.205/UH-1
5x AS.532 (3 inside hangar)

Is the AH-1 perhaps the one that was on static at Cigli?

Greetz Rob.

Noted on the late afternoon of the 7th were a stagering number of 16 Hueys (12 outside), 2 AH-1s hangared (southern hangar), 6 Cougars (one FLIR equiped) and 2 T-41s read as 10165 and 10166. Are these misreads for 10185 and 10186? Both T-41's departed around 18:00 local.

Edit: not T-41's, but Ce.182T. So 10165 and 10166 are correct after all.

Also noted around noon on the 1st of June were one white T-41 and three olive green U-17's.

Furthermore I can add that we never saw more then 6 Cougars. We checked the ramps and hangars each day as our hotel overlooked the field. All mil hangars were seen open on the 7th, apart from two hangar bays (probably Cougars if anything in there). Maybe there is someone who can help us out as it seems that the above 16 Hueys, 2 Cobra's and 6 Cougars were all locals present that day between 17:00-18:00.

Cheers,
