I ask as I would like to do the static in teh morning, and then to be outside the base for the flying displays (due to the sun position), but I would like to leave my car in one place and just be able to walk to the location for the flying.
Zigag,

I have been to Kokzijde two years ago. If I remember well the parking is situated before you reach the entrance gate at that time people did the same, static in the morning and flying display in the afternoon off base.

I did not register for the show in time. So I will be off base whole day, not sure if the roads are blocked during the air show.

And this can be done by foot? And it's not a problem if so much people go outside the base?

Back in 2006 the roads were certainly blocked!

We got sent away by police from the approach at spot 2 of
http://www.scramble.nl/airports/publish/ebfn.htm which was in use that day.

I have to correct myself. I misunderstood the information given on the website. You do not need to pre-register for the show on 6th and 7th only for the spotterday on Friday. I apologize if I confused someone.
Though the display line is far away from the crowd the show looks to be good.

Hi there,

Can anybody advice on parking near spot 4 please? I see plenty of fields but perhaps not a good idea. I´m guessing there will loads of people there as well if 29 is in use.
Also could anybody tell me if a stepladder would be required at both spot 2 and 4?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Egon

All roads leading to spot 4 will be closed, you will have to park your car somewhere in Veurne.
The road allong spot 2 is also closed.

Its been a long time for me since i visited Koksijde show. Can anyone point me where the onbase parking and airshow entry is? I am still in doubt if i will do static in the morning or skip that and go offbase all day... If the walk is not to far I might do both and leave the car onbase at the parking.

The entrance and parking is usually on the north side, through the town of Koksijde. Parking on and around the disused runway.
