2 approaches this day were as follows,

43+37 Tornado IDS JBG-32 Monster at 10,22,then to Köln
45+68 Tornado IDS JBG-33 GAF E23 at 15.34 and 17.13

Locals flying,

31+14 Hammer 1
30+60 Hammer 2
30+66 Hammer 3 dep at 10.01 and returned at 11.56(31+14) and 11.59

PM

31+14 Hammer from 15.35 to 16.41

a short visit here on 27.06.2011 from 11.15 until 11.30 and from 13.45 to 16.15 hours after watching tanker arrivals at Geilenkirchen resulted in witnessing the following movements:

On Friday the 01st July JBG31 is going to depart to Deci. Week 1 in July the airfield will be closed!!

I assume that the take off time is from the C-130. I was talking about the take off time for the JBG31 det to Deci!

Okay didn't see the context but anyway they will depart around 0630-0700z!! Number is variable between 2 and 4 acft. They'll stay for 1 week only!

JG-74 will be going to Deci with JBG-31,then JG-73 will replace these 2 units at Decimonmannu.

This morning (14/07/2011) between 10h00lt and 11h00lt 2 Austrian Saab 105 are expected to refuel at Nörvenich on their way to Fairford

The better would have been Neuburg, where 10(!) Eufies came back from Deci :shock:

"better would"?
Of course you can travel around the world to see "more" and "better" but why not be happy with what you get almost around the corner for at least some of us? (especially regarding todays fuel prices - I saw three Eurofighters for 10 Euro fuel and could go to work afterwards, Neuburg would have been 100 Euro fuel for ten Eurofighters and almost 24 hours without sleep, so what is "better"?)
By the way, this is the Nörvenich topic and not a discussion topic about what would have been thee best airfield during the day.
