A little "aircraft a little' spaceship". For Amendola (Foggia), the largest Italian airbase is operating the Predator B, the latest jewel of technology in the field of unmanned aircraft. Successfully engaged in Iraq and Afghanistan in version A Plus, in May Predators deployed in Herat have passed the milestone of 6 thousand flight hours. Two Predator B in service, are those used by next year. Among the innovations the possibility of flying a Predator flying over the Afghan theater directly from Amendola, greater autonomy, sophisticated on-board sensors. For now not expected to lead the Italian Predator missiles or bombs.
