All,
I was contacted by the 366 AMXS Maintenance Superintendent (Mountain Home AFB) who requested my help. They are planning to display a static Strike Eagle (actually a B model painted as an E model) at Mountain Home AFB dedicated to the longest F-15E mission ever. This 15,5 hour mission (complete with 12 refueling and 9 hours actually over target areas) was flown in support of OEF in Nov 12-13, 2001 by ’Crockett 51’ and ’Crockett 52’. They want to paint the jet precisely as it was painted back in 2001, complete with pilot, WSO, DCC, ADCC names, serial number and mission markings (if any).
I was inspired by this initiative and decided to help them as much as I can, plus I want to give it publicity on F-15E.
I’D LIKE TO ASK FOR YOUR HELP TO SUPPORT THESE INITIATIVES – both of MHAFB and of F-15E.info. We are looking for information or (if you cannot provide info) further contacts who may be able and willing to help.
So what we are looking for is the following:
- Names of the two pilots (we know callsigns only: ’Slokes’ and ’Spear’).
- Names of the two WSO’s (we know callsigns only: ’Snitch’ and ’Buzzer’).
- Names of the two DCC’s.
- Names of the two ADCC’s.
- Serial numbers of the jets.
- Archive photos of the jets (for special markings – mission markings for example).
- Historical details about the mission (for a public article).
- Contact info for the aircrews and ground crews (for interviews and personal accounts).
- Any further info that you think might be helpful.
Thanks
Maurice
