In English: according to local media, a Royal Moroccan Air Force C-130H crashed into a mountainside near the town of Guelmim in the south of Morocco today, July 26, 2011. At least 30 people are said to have died, but the exact number of passengers and casualties is not yet known. News updates now indicate that there might be as much as 78 casualties: 6 crew, 60 other military personnel and 12 civilians
News reports and military press releases contradict each other as to the route flown by the Hercules, but apparently it hit a mountain in bad weather while attempting to land at Guelmim Airbase.
