The current and uncontrolled Lelystad situation (mixed Dinky Toy with fast Jet traffic) is going out of hand.Piet Luijken wrote:I hope not! ATC will limit traffic, possibilities while increasing costs and bureaucracy without lowering the chance of these kind of tragic accidents
Than I sugest you take a look atc ATC charges in Rotterdam.Propwash wrote:I agree that ATC will increase the cost, but I'll pay (if not outragious) for an extra pear of eyes and traffic info
Aren't you messing up with the outragious handling fees?Flyboy wrote:Than I sugest you take a look atc ATC charges in Rotterdam.
Agree with this. As far as I know (I live in Lelystad for 5 years now) every year there's a similar situation, with two aircraft close to each other. Resulted in two crashes in 5 years (last time was in 2007, with a Cessna and a Fuji). And as spotter I've seen several of that kind of situations that even I thought it was pretty damn close.Propwash wrote: The Lelystad situation is dangerous, uncontrolled mixed traffic, from flying Dinky Toys (LSA) to fast jets in a tight 'congested' circuit area, is asking for accidents.
