Lago St. Croce 2011 MIL

Post by Sjoerd »

Seen during our summer holidays through Germany, Austria and Italy were the following aircraft. Most visits were brief and serial spotting only. Serials wich are underlined were not actually read.

This lake is often used by the waterbombers/helciopters of Protezione Civile/Vigili del Fuoco/Corpo del Forrestale in their fight against nature wild fires.

Today saw a little airshow conveniently at our own camping site! Apart from some remote control aircraft and flying lawnmowers (really!), some aerobatic aircraft attended. Amongst them were also three SF.260’s of the Breitling Devils (all civil have a civil history unfortunately) and a CL.415. The later performed demo’s for about half an hour including five ditches to pick up/drop water and one landing/take off. The light was just perfect and the mountains in the background played well too for photography.
