Especially the inclusion of the FARP/Forward Area Refuelling Point-equipment on the ground make these pictures stand out to what is already posted...

Apart from that nice photos! :)

Excellent report, wel done. Capturing these beauties in their natural habitat looks very operational and stunning

Hard to pick a favorite but imo number 2 is a winner!

Where exactly is this FARP located? On the TT circuit or just outside? Was this place accesible for public? I can hardly imagine that

The FARP itself was not open for public and fenced off but you have a good view from the road and tribunes at the south/ southeast side. I simple drove on the circuit and parked the car somewhere. And walked to the FARP. No problems at all. There were more spectators watching the motorraces and the helieshow...
Helies were armed and refuelled at the westside (little black dots) and parked (P) at the eastside. FARP in is via the northwest, FARP out via the northeast...

Very cool pictures King !!

Today they turned the in/outbound heading because of the wind I think, arrival/departing heading 215 degrees.

tnx for the clear explanation. Shame I didn't get them last week in glorious weather.
Tomorrow is the last day of the exercise. Someone knows if the choppers will be in Assen the whole day or will they leave back home early?

In English

Camp Spyker (TT circuit) is nearly empty. This morning the FARP was broken down and prepared to be transported away by trailer. At 14:00, the crews of 3 Chinooks (D-103, D664 en D-666) were awaiting instructions to leave. Flying activities in Assen are over.

Cheers,

Speedbird01
