On or around the 18th October ,the Indian Air Force lost another Mig.

Hopefully when I find the Indian newspaper report(which was short of details) further details will be available.

Further info as appeared in the The New Sunday Express(India) for the 23rd October,

"MiG wreckage spotted"

"Shimla:Wrechage of the MiG aircraft which crashed in Chokhang Valley on Tuesday night "(18th Oct) "were spotted by army and air force teams,but the search operation was hampered by fresh snowfall in the region."

That was the article in full(all of one paragraph),so no mention of the status of the pilot.

Given the location and weather,the prospects for the survival of the pilot would appear to be remote.

Interesting. That serial was also quoted for the loss on 28Sep06.......
