Grote Navo-oefening bij Venlo

In het Duitse Nederrijn-gebied, vlak over de grens bij Venlo, wordt begin april een grote Navo-oefening gehouden.

Tijdens de oefening worden de verschillende luchtmachteenheden getraind in een zo snel mogelijke inzet. Zo staat onder meer een luchtlanding van Navo-troepen op vliegveld Weeze gepland. Daarnaast worden ook een aantal fictieve scenario's geoefend. De oefening wordt gecoördineerd vanuit het Navo-hoofdkwartier voor luchtoperaties in Ramstein.
