I wouldn't be suprised if the French Rafales were the same ones as the Dubai ones 3 weeks ago! 124/104-GC Was one of them then, together with 314/104-HP and 125/104-GD. Are there many more operating from the UAE?

You're probably correct. All 3 had the same tail markings.However,314 may not have these markings as it was from the first Rafale squadron at St Dizier.

Time will tell!.

Chris,
I was walking round the static on Monday, and unless I experienced temporary blindness, only two Rafales were present:
124/104-GC
314/104-HP
I also took a photo down the line of tails, and there are only two Rafale tails in it.
Willing to be corrected of course, but I was reading an interview with the French in today's local paper where the stated "the two aircraft we brought bla bla".
Will comment further if required when I return home in the middle of next week, but in the meantime:
EC665 is 2016/F-ZWRN
AD/232 is 166659
Spare MiG-29 is M43-18
P-3C is 161333
S-70 is 263, c/n 703131
MB339 is M34-18
AS365s are M70-01 (c/n 6723), 02 (c/n 6737), 03 (c/n 6741)
A109 is M81-03
Lynx is M501-4
AS355 is M502-4
Regards,
Andy

Andy,

You're correct there were only 2 Rafales.Over exposure to the heat. It's a pity these 2 were at Dubai the other week. Thanks for the other updates.

Also item 58,the VP-16 P-3C was 161333.

Item 47,the JAS39C was code 70105.

The 2 RTAF JAS39s should have departed on the 9th,as the outbound support RTAF C-130H (code 60104 again) was heard going southbound over Bangkok during the morning calling RTAF106.
