In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Hello All,

The year is almost over again and therefore I like to start the anual overview. post you 10 best pictures of the year 2011
and tell us why they are that special to you! I am currious about the results. I will start with my 10 best shots. Everybody
is allowed to post only 1 set of 10 images! Comments to others are ofcourse allways welcome. Have fun......

1, Without any doubt my best trip in 2011 and therefore on the number 1 position with a big distance, the famous Mikoyan-Guerevic 21.

2, Everything went just perfect today!

3, A stunning airshow at the end of a 7 day trip through France, Germany and Austria.

4, I love Autumn colors....

5, I had the photo of the Apache between the trees already a few years in my mind, today I finally succeeded.

6, The best and most spectacular fly-by in 2011, without any doubt, thanks 298 sqn.

7, I Finally captured the Q-24 after 8 years hunting!

8, My second best trip of the year; many special aircraft, but the light is hard in June.

9, The first NH90 which I captured on the Slopes at EHGR.

10, One of the best Air Power demos which I ever saw, Flugtag Niederstetten!!!

hii,

I have only four months a SLR camera. with Just a 18-55 kit lens.. :roll:
in October I was 16. I bought a scooter, but no lens.. :oops:
2012 there comes a new lens, though I do not know wich..
The pictures with the old digital camera are not in my top 10.
I find the quality to be less for the top 10 despite they are pretty nice.. :wink:

I have them from 10 to 1 .. :)
If you have tips or suggestions please let me know.
Would be nice if you also post your top 3 of my photos..... :roll:

The year started with a fantastic tanker ride over the North Sea in February..

I like this topic; Great diversity and many angles. Don't be embarassed by your shots; It's your top 10 (or 8!) and your entitled to include your personal favorites! I enjoyed them all.

My top 10 in order from 10 to 1:

10: The A380 demo at Le Bourget.

9: The take-off of the Rafale display at Fairford.

8: The spectacular take-off of the French Transall during Tigermeet on Cambrai.

7: A panning shot on Cambrai due to low light situation en low ISO.

6: The typical background of Reims.
Image

5: It seems like GLV but it's just the "ordinary" slopes.

4: For me, one of the best F16 passes of 2011. Gilze-Rijen 25 years jubilee GRAS.

2: The best demoteam fly-pass I saw in 2011.

It´s nice to see this topic once again! 2011 has been a wonderfull year for me. I've made some great trips abroad (visited the UK 4 times, been to Austria, Germany, France and Belgium) but had some lovely opportunities in the Netherlands aswell! Sorting out my images was quite difficult, but I think I've found a varied serie of beautiful photos, hope you like them!

1. Best basevisit of the year, even the best visit of my ´spottercareer´ was Northolt Nightshoot numer ten. What a sight!

2. First visit to Lakenheath in my life, great weather, great folks and GREAT banking!

3. My dad and I spent some time in Austria together, this Herc was seen backtracking during the rehearsals of Airpower11, a few weeks before the real show.

4.Just a ´normal basivisit´ at EHGR, one week later we were told that DHC would phase out a lot of there Cougars...

5. First time in my life I saw the USAF Thunderbirds, at Leeuwarden, but what a show!

6. Nothing special, but I like the angle of the two Hercs!

7. BLASTING OFF! Tornado at Volkel AFB
Image

8. UK Army Longbow at the Salisbury Plain Training Area, if you like the Dutch GLV´s, you will probably quite like the SPTA :wink:

9. Taxiway LIMA at Gilze-Rijen, yup, that´s nice!

10. Tulln-Langelebarn is home of the Austrian Black Hawk fleet, these pilots flew some extra rounds infront of my lens

:conf: Sorry dutch;Ik geloof dat verkeerde show en er is helemaal geen Thunderbirds in Leeuwarden geweest en heb gekeken naar programma van Leeuwarden en er staat niks. Misschien in Kokzijde of andere show.
