Malaysia 2011, day 6, Butterworth

Post by stipjes »

Today was the first cloudy day and departure day. Fortunately we were able to make some ok photos. On the showtopic we placed some more pics but because I think it is saturated a bit I start a new follow on topic in the hope I can share my pics a bit more. I will not call it “Langkawi, my impression” ;-).

After tomorrow I hope to shoot some more pics in Malaysia and will put them here too.
The show pics can be found here; http://forum.scramble.nl/viewtopic.php? ... 3&start=15

The Singapore CH-47 came in as a cargo plane and will leave tomorrow. Also a SingAF C-130 should arrive tomorrow morning. With the Sea King we were Lucky. It made a short flight and came in just before the rain.

Thanks Steeph, wish you where here......
Today was great. My first SingAF C-130B on plaat!!!!! 55 years old and still glossy! The Hornets and Rafale's are still in but after the support a/c were loaded all Singapore a/c left. The French Transall has a long way to go I think. I seems it is not so fast.....

Yesterday we left Langkawi. A C-135FR arrived for the Rafale ferry.
Image
The museum in Kuala Lumpur has many nice a/c. Also some Sea Kings were flying (including a/the white one).
Image
2 Skyhawks are present
Image
The 2 Sikorsky's were parked in a hangar. I hope they only have 2. This one I read as 2.
Image

After this Stephan left and I went to Butterworth to see F-5's.

That might have been our fold
A week ago we where send away from the fence, enabling a shoot sideways in the hangars.

 ... U did get the RF-5 ... Nice one :worship:
(these sights make every heat worth daring to resist)

What is the name of the museum close to KL?
I am going to KL next year to visit my brother and am wondering if the museum is interesting enough for a visit.

Thanks.
