C/N location help wanted

Post by sh-14d »

Hello All,

Trying to find out were I can find the Construction Number locations for the following types:

Cessna 172, Cessna 207 and Piper PA-31.

Tried the SCRAMBLE database, but did not find them.

TIA,

Harry

Cessna 172: on the inside, near the left door front frame. Usually, C207s will have that one at the same location.
Piper PA-31 Series (older models): Underside of fuselage, LH side between door & flap.
Piper PA-31 Series (newer models): Underside of aft fuselage beneath empennage.

(By the way, Google delivered these answers in about 3 seconds...)

And don't forget, there's something like a Reims-Cessna 172 as well... I know of a couple that have the c/n plate under the port elevator.
