Today, the Summer schedule 2012 commences. Herewith a quick overview of the major changes for Amsterdam Schiphol in Summer 2012:

KLM - major changes 2012:
- A333 to LOS, IAD, ACC daily
- B777 to BKK, TPE-MNL
- A332 to LUN, LAD
- frequency increases: DPS, LAX, HGH, UIO, TLS, BRE, STR, SVG, AAl, TRF, BOD, BLL, ABZ, VCE, IEV, YYC
- decreases or cancelled: ATH, HEL, CAI, MIA, MXP, LPL, PUJ

Arke - major changes 2012:
- LAX, SFO, LAS, FAO

Delta:
- 3x ATL, but cancel MEM (Sept. 2012)

Transavia 2012:
- BUD 4x/week, minor frequency changes and route swaps RTM/AMS

EZY 2012:
- new SEN 2x/daily
- new LIS 4x/weekly
- +40 freq. existing routes

FEDEX 2012:
- OSL-AMS-CDG-AMS-OSL B757 6x/week

Air France 2012:
- increase freq. regional routes Nantes, SXB & Brive
- cancel CFE

Skyworks 2012:
- new route Bern daily DH8 or 328

Turkish 2012:
- 4x daily IST

Norwegian 2012:
- new route ARN 6x/week

SAS 2012:
- increase freq. ARN 3x/daily

Ukraine Int. 2012:
- 2x daily IEV with KLM + codeshares LHR, BHX. MAN, EDI,

Estonian 2012:
- 2x/daily tallin CR9

Baltic 2012:
- 2x daily RIX B735

Air Europa 2012:
- new 2x daily B738 MAD, minus 1x KLM daily

MAS 2012:
- B777 daily replaces B744

Icelandair 2012:
- increase KEF to 12x/week

China Southern 2012:
- Guangzhou A332 daily

Emirates 2012:
- A380 daily (1 Aug. 2012)

SIA 2012:
- B773 daily (1 July 2012)

Korean 2012:
- SEL 4x/week A333 non-stop both ways

TACV 2012:
- B738 replaces B757 1x/week

Garuda 2012:
- reduces to 4x/week, except july - aug daily A332

United 2012:
- reduces to 1x/day EWR 757, IAD 757, IAH 764, ORD 763

Olympic 2012:
- disappears after 50+ years

PBM - 744 replaces M11 4x/week
YVR - 777 replaces 330 daily
ATL - M11 replaces 777 daily
NRT - increases to 10x/week. KL861 operated daily by 744, KL863 operated 3x/week by 777
DFW - will return 5x/week with A330

Minor changes to the middle east:
DMM will operate daily A330. 5x/week will fly on to KWI
AUH will operate 5x/week A330. 3x/week will fly on to BAH
MCT will operatie 5x/week A330. All flights will fly on to DOH

Regardring the KLM change on the AUH connection that will go via BAH 3x weekly. Is that in addition to the daily BAH flight that we get now, currently routing either direct or via KWI? Thus meaning 10 flights via BAH per week?

KLM heeft TIP uitgesteld tot 01-05-2012 volgens Airline Route. Echter het is niet zeker of deze datum ook daadwerkelijk gehaald gaat worden. De route zal met een 73G worden gevlogen en de frequentie is 3 wekelijks groeiend naar 5 wekelijks.

KL has postponed TIP to W12, thus no TIP in S12.

Amadeus is now showing double flight listings for both the morning and evening flights from MAD starting September 2012, indicating those will be taken over by IB Express (with 26XX flight numbers), leaving IB3250/3249 to be operated by IB. According to Iberia Express flights go on sale 28MAR2012, so we will probably know more in a few days.

I am very curious why Virgin Australia is codesharing on this flight? Getting from Australia to AMS with 2 stops enroute at LAX and ATL is a very long journey compared to the traditional routings via Asia or the Middle-East. To make things even more complicated all VA codeshare flights on LAX-ATL arrive after DL0174 departs for AMS, requiring a lay-over of at least 23 hours.

It would make more sense to fly SYD-AUH-BRU/DUS on Virgin Australia and their partner Etihad and take a train to AMS.

Airlineroute is reporting euroLOT will launch 4x weekly Krakow-Amsterdam this summer and are also planning a Gdansk-Amsterdam route. A polish website reports flights on KRK-AMS start 06JUN2012 and their recently ordered DHC8-Q400NG will be used for the expansion.

I could not find any info on their website or any schedules. Luchtvaartnieuws has an item on the new service, but it is locked.
