a query for 2 November 2011. On this date we saw a lone EA-6B parked on the US Navy platform, but due to distance and heat haze we were unable to decipher its identity. Can anyone supply an ID for this Prowler?
Thanks in Advance!
Richard.
this date is 2 days after CVW-5 returned from a criuse.Therfore all their EA-6B were on base.I take it the jet you saw was in grey colours?.If so the chances of identifying it are virtually zero.
Nope, you are wrong on that one, CVW-5 was still out on a cruise. They only arrived back on the 19th of November 2011. That's why I am hoping someone is able to help me with the ID of this lone Prowler!
Sorry,I mis-read the date for the 22nd.In that case, the 4 on the criuse,as noted during a port visit in Thailand in August were as follows,
164402 NF-500
163034 NF-501
163401 NF-503
163404 NF-504
So NF-502(163049) should be the missing one present at Atsugi on the 2nd.
