F18 hornet on flightaware.

17:28hrs gmt, from KSTL to KRCA showing on Flightaware is a US Navy F18 hornet i took a screenshot of it too for proof :D :D , my first sighting of one. callsign is HORNET72

The USAF doesn't operate any Hornets...

Just about to land now at ellsworth afb. 10:46MDT time. 1753gmt

Also guys i just had a look at there is one down for departure at ellsworth to whidbey island icao, KRCA to KNUW he is down for 1140MDT time departure so 55 minutes from now 18:40gmt roughly.Could be the same one and hes at ellsworth for a refuel.?

Bit suprised to see a Mil jet on Flightaware..

I do not think this is a USN flight, but a flight from Boeing.. This could very well be a Delivery flight in my opinion.
Regarding his destination, this MIGHT be a EA-18 Growler on delivery.

No I am not, but even without membership you can look at it although with less options.

He is up now out of ellsworth afb. is that what the "W" means joost electronic warfare? meaning the EA18-growler variant.
