CFA Massy

Post by Niek »

Coming Saturday there will be an open campus day at the CFA MAssy (close to Orly Airport)
I am planning to go there, but can anybody tell which and how many aircraft I can expect there (I saw reports on T-33s) and whether they can be photographed in an acceptable way?

Hi Niek,

I visited here a few years ago, and then photography was not allowed for some reason. But I must say I did see pictures of others afterwards, who did get permission, so this probably is a case of hit or miss...
Nowadays only three T-33's should still be present, with the others and also the T-6's and Falcon 20 gone. But then again, they might have gained new aircraft to replace all these!
If you do go please post a log!
Cheers,

I went there last week and nothing could be seen at all. There is now a big iron fence between the school and the castle area which houses the hangars. The school itself is just a school, no aircraft at all.

Deu to the fact that my French is very rusty I am not sure but I think that the aviation department of this school is moved to Toussus-Le-Noble airfield according to there site. URL:

Hmmm, looks like it. Will see if I can check that out soon.
They also still have the location in Bonneuil-en-France (next to Le Bourget airport).
I visited that location last Saturday. Over there they have one ex Gendarmerie Alouette II, a former AdlA Falcon 20 and a civilian Jetstream.

How about those 3 Magisters? They should be present in the hangar.

102 and 546 went to the USA already some time ago, and 100 is also gone. Probably for spares use by a team with one/more flying Fouga's, but don't remember the details about this.
