Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

EHLW/Leeuwarden Friday 13th...

Post by Polecat »

I hoped that for once the meteorologists were right for today, I should have known better... Today I had hoped to get the Frisian Flag arrivals, however the weather played tricks, but it was nice meeting some friends again... Just a few very quick edits to give an impression.

The earliest arrivals were the transport aircraft, no sun at all unfortunately..

Polish Herc

and Polish F-16
Image

First aircraft we got with a nice sun was... a KLu F-16!
Image

Belgian F-16, Greetz to you too!! :-)
Image

Finnish CN295, it was a bit lighter... still no sun
Image

Gripens from Sweden
Image

Norwegian Hercules
Image

Than we had some brighter spells, the Brits arrived and we almost had sun on the first one..
Image

Mission marks on this Tiffy..
Image

and loads of mission marks on this one!!
Image

This Norwegian F-16 made the usual Norwegian (short) approach, nice travel pod though..

Come on Bennie, where is your sense of humor at seeing the Hawaiian luck sign 8)
BTW Polecat, I examined my shots of the arrivals, the purported travel pod reads "hydrazine", the emergency generator fuel for the F-16.

Well edited shots!

Hans.

I would have seen humor in it if the F16 had come from Hawaii, Hans
