The FlyOut 2012 is a non-open-to-the-public
but of course of-interest-to-the-public event,
by which Naval Air Wing 5 waves goodbye to Holtenau, gathering the international traditional SAR community and fellow units together for a final a happening to "celebrate" with retired and active personell as well as their family members.
Contrary to the past events (SAR-Meets) it is not possible to conduct an OpenDay for the public,
however it will be arranged to allow a small and prior obligatory accredited number of press/media and aircraft-enthusiasts to get a timewise strictly limited opportunity,
to gain access to the Static Display of guest-helicopters -
the last time with the Kiel scenery an skyline.
Date of this "Spotters Day" during FlyOut 2012 is fixed as of Saturday, 23 of June 2012, 0900-1300h.
For a mandatory accreditation as a journalist or spotter, please find the according form by following the link below.
See my site, look under airshows in 2008 and 2010.Johan wrote:Interesting (static) line up! How are the photographic conditions? Is someone familiar with the situation at Kiel? I've never been there before. Someone who visited one of the past SAR-meetings?
I've seen some pictures on the internet from previous meetings and it looks like static helo's are normally parked close to the bay, which means noses in western direction.
In that case he positon of the sun (if there is any) will be favourable late afternoon. But access is granted until 13.00..
What do you think? Would like to hear your opinions
Greetings
Johan
