European Military Out of Service 2011 book (by Otger vd Kooij and Andy Marden) the Ukraine chapter is 39 pages !!! If you are intersted in "MiG's on Poles", don't go without this book. Another tip: Don't bring your own new car to Ukraine. The roads are still very bad.

former Kharkiv Higher Military Aviation School (HVVAUL), with a MiG-21 plinth-mounted at the entrance. It has a very faded bort number.

Other aircraft used to be preserved nearby with the HVVAUL museum (all May02) but all went to Luhansk by Sep09. They were an L-29, L-39C, MiG-15, MiG-17, MiG-19, 2 x MiG-21, MiG-23, MiG-29, Su-7.
