Here a list of the Wrecks and Relics in and around Kharkiv as in EMOOS 2011.
Ukraine is full with Wrecks and relics and in the new European Military Out of Service 2011 book (by Otger vd Kooij and Andy Marden) the Ukraine chapter is 39 pages !!! If you are intersted in "MiG's on Poles", don't go without this book. Another tip: Don't bring your own new car to Ukraine. The roads are still very bad.

To be fair, I was driving in the Ukraine 2-3 years ago (Lviv-Chisinau(Moldova)-Odessa) and the Ukrainian main roads are quite good, never found many potholes. The Moldovan roads on the other hand.....

Yes the main roads are OK nowadays (when I compare the situation with my first visit in 1997). But many W&R's are off the main roads and some of these "roads" are really bad. Be aware of the traffic police (DAI), not that many and corrupt as in 1997, but still active. To find good and cheap hotels nowadays is no problem at all. With some common sense, spotting in Ukraine should be no problem. And there are many nice aircraft here................
