August 11th 2012 - Pitch Black 2012, RAAF Darwin, Australia

Post by jeroenow »

Although RAAF Darwin is not around the corner for the most of us, an interesting static show (no flying according to the RAAF) will take place of (some of) the aircraft participating in the biannual exercise 'Pitch Black'. Anyway participants will be - according to strong rumours - Indonesian Su30's, Thai F-16's, a mix of F-16's - F-15's from Singapore, USN FA-18's, so far unspecified USAF stuff (probably ZZ F-15's) and a lot of Australian Hornets, Super Hornets, etc.

If anyone gets the opportunity, can they please make a note of any FMS numbers for the Singapore AF fighters against their tail numbers please?

On F-16s, the FMS number is on the canopy rail, port side and on F-15SGs, it is on the port side engine intake.

Regards and thanks

Mark
