Post by Polecat »

On behalf of a friend of mine: Seen today at Orange was Da-900 c/s ''COTAM43''. Anyone for the identity of this bird?

Well, the lucky bastard says thanks to all for their help in filling this gap in my log for today! :-)

When I am back, I will publice a full log from my days at Orange. To bad I missed the 4 AMI EF2000's that came in last wednesday due to a broken car.

Logged CTM1280 yesterday (August 3rd) on Athens ATC, this showed as Falcon 900 02 FAF, so could this be the 2/F-RAFP instead?

2 candidates,numbers 2(F-RAFP) or 4 (F-RAFQ).

Falcon 900 Number 2 was on Antonakis over Censeau,France at 06.31Z(08.31 LT).

These are/were due to be replaced by the new Falcon 7Xs.

To be exact they came in Tuesday 31-7 just after noon, did some aircombat against 4 Mirages on Wednesday and left Thursday 2-8 at 10.15am.

I also saw the Falcon but it seemed to have no serial ... :?

Gents,

Concerning the identity of the Da900, I checked photo's on Airliners.net of both Da900 still in the inventory of the French AF. I noticed that 2/F-RAFP has an all white c/s with no outer markings and 4/RAFQ wears titles and a bl/wh/rd cheatline.
The Da900 that CBR and I saw landing on August, 3 had titles and the named cheatline. That would make it 4/F-RAFQ.

Can anyone confirm my assumption?

Erik
