Kessel
"Br.1150 stored rear end only" these parts come from the 61+09
"Mi-2 stored" is the ex NVA 501 c/n 562819043
"FX 58 F-104G stored" the tail is from the FX58, the fuselage is the FX69
"K-4063 NF-5A stored" if you mean the fuselage than it's the K-3043, from the K-3063 only the rear fuselage section
"there is also a fuselage of something like an Antonov-24 ???" maybe the Fokker 50 fuselage that was at the Baarlo location ??

Baarlo
"The Alpha-Jet 4052 is on a trailer ready to depart" last time I visited the location the 4065 was on the trailer, this one is going to Greece

@ DMWR Jorg and CBR... :thumb:

The NF-5 is a type error it schould be K-3063, but the one I have seen is more likely the K-3043

for the fuselage; see the picture

Baarlo;
I checked my notes the Alpha Jet on the trail was the 4052, there was already a truck attached to it so it looked like it was ready to go
the 4065 was behind the Su-22 2513.

The fuselage on the photo is that of a Fokker 50, this one was at the Baarlo location some time ago.

Hello Leonard,

Are you sure about F-104G 23+61, could this be 23+01. Did you saw it complete/ fuselage only?

Sorry to tell you all but the FX69 with tail of FX70 is still with its owner in Belgium. I had even contact this morning about the status of his restauration of the aircraft.
So it IS NOT at Kessel. I assume the report has mis-read an aircraft body?
I am glad it is still being worked on and not in the hands of PS Aero.
Regards
Harry

Mr Piet Smets broke his elbow in 5 places he was painting i think the Alpha Jet on a lifting ramp and fell down, maybe this wil not heal correctly and he talked about stopping with the plane collection.
So maybe we can ask (send him an E-mail) him to please continu with his work and wish him well.
I hope he will continu his work.
Compromise is failure.

Hi all,

This morning we went to Baarlo for a very nice guided tour by Piet Smedts. He is indeed recovering from severe injuries due to the broken arm and shoulder but as far as I could make up from his nice stories, he is not thinking about quiting with the collection. He has sold 12 airplanes to Greece (Athens museum) and the planes will leave as soon as money comes in... With the crisis I wonder how long that will take... ;) He also told us that he is working on getting a Mig-29 for his collection, but so far no deal has been made.
The following aircraft were seen at Baarlo:

At McDonalds/4-Sprong turn on to the the Heldenseweg, than first left: Spurkt, drive for abut 250m. It is actually at the back of Verstappen Bedrijfswagens on the N273.
