Orange - Caritat (BA115) (LFMO) - 2012 (Wrecks and Relics)

Post by Jan H »

Hello all,

new at the gate (13th August) is (comparing EMOOS 2011);
Vautour 348 (F-AZHP was not noted. Still with the Shell logo)

The other seven are still in place. The Mirage F-1 is somewhat obstructed by the Mirage-3C. But when
you walk to the left of the gateguard you will see some more of this aircraft... The Mirage-4 is parked
on the grass on the right side and can't be missed. (Walk all the way to the right of, or to, the guardhouse along
the fence.)
Your car can be parked easily and the guards are friendly...!

Mirage-3RD 361/33-TJ is still along the fence. And can be seen from spot 5/6 (Scramble airfield guide)

Mirage-3E (426)/13-(QG) is still present lying upside down in a revetment. (Can be seen from spot 3. Look from here
roughly in the middle of spot 5 and 6.)

Since a few weeks it is possible to visit the BA-115 museum (No aircraft)on base. See for information;

Cheers,
Jan.
