Alaska (ANC) Spotting Question

Post by USAIR »

Dear Fellow Enthusiasts ,

Am planning for early next year a trip to Anchorage and was wondering if anybody has any information about the best time of the year to go plane spotting at Anchorage International Airport ? I am thinking to take this trip in April. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Cheers

Goodmorning Roy,

I think april isn't too bad a time to go to ANC, daylighttime is lengthening and you can still use the snowy mountains as background
for some nice shots. Try to get in contact with the Firestation NW of RWY07, sometimes they let you enter their ground for some
picturing within the fence. On the N, E and South side of the airport there are spots to get decent shots from from the outside.

Have a good one, JH
