This last weekend the bi-annual airshow at Rossfeld aerodrome was held for the 26th time.An elevated grass strip near Metzingen,Germany the field is an excellent place to view close up vintage aircraft in there element.
Sadly this years show had a tragic end when Eurocopter EC-120B Collbri D-HALX crashed while beginning its demo.The pilot walked away but a 38 year old male spectator was killed from flying debris.Two other spectators were taken to hospital with reported serious injuries.
This was the 3rd time this particular helo has performed here.Disappointment of the weekend was the no show of D-HAUG the only active S-58 in Europe otherwise an super event untill the crash...
