165835 VR-57

On 01st June 166693 (VR-57) was noted in Thailand calling CNV7842 and may have replaced 165834.165835 was noted at Anderson AFB calling CNV7441 on the 02nd June.

6th August known visitor,

165957 QD-957 KC-130J VMGR-152

New arrival on the C-40 det here is 165831 from VR-59.Last month both 165835 and 165836 from VR-57 were detached here.

A C-130T identified as operating from here on 09th August is 165348 JW-348 VR-62.

Anybody any info if CVW-5 returns home to NAS Atsugi from their tour with CVN-73 within the next two weeks? I like to photograph their homecoming ...

Not expected until November.There's an exercise due off the Japanese coast in early November which CVW-5 is expected to take part.

2 VR-59 C-40As should be here,

165830 visited Ipoh,Malaysia on the 19th as CNV7642 and 165831 was visiting U-Tapao RTNS as Sumo 68 the same day.The latter airplane departed to here on the 20th.

Anybody any info if CVW-5 returns home to NAS Atsugi from their tour with CVN-73 within the next two weeks? I like to photograph their homecoming ...
