11-08-2012 Zhukovsky “100th anniversary Russian Air Force”

Today was the VIP day and unfortunately the day was dominated by heavy thunderstorms which got really nasty during the afternoon halting the airshow for two hours or so. When the show was resumed there was still some lightning in the area and the L-39 show took place in really doubtful weather conditions!

Unfortunately the Mi-28 demo, the Lipetsk formation and the MiG-31 fly-by was cancelled this day. It could have been much worse though!

Again additions and corrections are most welcome, especially the 100 formation at the end of the show!

I am now sure it is the Ryazan aircraft as it carried C03232 on its nosewheeldoor en did not have a cityname painted on the nose.
