Whilst waiting for our plane at Ben Gurion airport at terminal 3, we had some distant views of the IAI maintanance area which contained two KC-707/B.707's, both still in their white colors. When we taxied out, we also passed the storage area of the IAI which contained a large number of stored fighters. By making pictures from the plane, I was able to identify each aircraft by type, markings and position following a great report on jetphotos.net of someone who visited this storage by the end of last year.

Few bits and pieces for the visit of Leon Panetta (and less so for Mitt Romney last week - maybe next time he´ll visit with some VC-25s, VH-60s ....)
OK the "Knee-Cap" is 50125 whilst the great man arrived in C-17A 77184 (437AW) In attendance is C-37 90404 and a visitor last night should have been 305AW C-17A 88199.
Just arrived from Constantia (3rd time this summer) are a pair of C-130Ts 164106 & 164181 both "NY". Another C-37 was here for a few days (left Sunday) 11-0550.
The future Indian AF Global Express has been temporarily registered 4X-COF, it should have test-flown this morning. Still in full IAF colours, sans serial.

Interesting visitor right now is 74-1660/YJ C-130H of the 374th AW, sporting a lot more bumps than when I first saw it on TDY at "The Hall" many years ago!
Wow! After a pair of C-17As last week, 50104 (Charleston) on 28/29th and 44132 (McGuire) on 29/30th, followed by a brace of UC-28s, 07-0793 on 29/30 Oct and 07-0779 on 01/02Nov, this week starts even better with another dynamic duo, 2 x USAF CV-22s! These just departed (10.00) to Kania, 0033 as RCH10 & 0035 as RCH21, no tail codes on either. Unit anyone?
