Wow wow and agian Wow , they have MQ-4C's at Sigonella Already ??? thats freaking fast . tis means that Sigonnella is the first deployment base for the Triton.
So, we can almost be 99% sure this is the navy type of the RQ-4 Global hawk.
and also it goes into the airspace of Israel , this means its not only used for tasks above sea .....

While it's easy to see some sort of connection between TRITON65 and the MQ-4C Triton, I had serious doubts that the heard TRITON65 actually was a MQ-4C, production hasn't even started and most articles mention it will enter service as from 2015. But did come across an interesting phrase in a recent article about the production of the MQ-4C today: "The Navy actually has a version of Triton flying now, Enewold said, over the northern Arabian Sea in the Middle East".
the navy has RQ-4s flying for years already in the mid east out of Al Dhafra to fly above the Gulf ...
but if i check the route he follows he seems to be outbound sigonella or even came straight from the USA and goes to an Area near tel Aviv .... " R24 " and then further one to Al Dhafra ...
just like they did when the Iraqi war started , they flew from Paxentent River in the usa accros the atlantic to fly some hrs above Iraq and then to recover into Al Dhafra.
i think its one of the 3 BAMS test aircraft that operate in the Area , and they gave the child a name Triton, as the name they gave to the MQ-4C ... they have 68 on order , so it wil be usual to hear some more in the future.
Sigonella wel get around 12-15 Q-4's ( 5 USAF 5 NAVY 5 NATO )
