Req: info about Luxembourg-Findel helicopters

Being in the neighbourhood soon promped the question: what is the situation at Findel regarding photography of the based LAR en Police choppers?
Is it possible to make good shots or do you need a visit? Did they allow visits in the past?

The police and rescue helicopters at Findel play hard to get. Pictures from outside almost impossible, if you are lucky you could get one on a taxiway or on approach. Don't know about visits, normally they are not very easy with that here.

You could also try a visit at the hospital in the city of Ettelbruck, normally one LAR MD900 is present there and when outside, excellent for photography.

Maybe I'll just give it a try at Findel..
