Plane crash lands in field near RAF Cranwell
The Tutor aircraft landed in a field near the RAF training college
A training aircraft has crash landed near RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed.
The Tutor aircraft made a forced landing in a field after a routine training sortie at about 12.30 GMT. Both crew members are said to have walked away with no serious injuries.
RAF Cranwell personnel are in the process of cordoning off the area and securing the aircraft.
The initial assessment is that the aircraft has suffered some damage.
An investigation is under way.
RAF College Cranwell is where RAF officers and airmen are selected and trained.
